We've seen unverified conferences up close, which is why we built a tool to fight them systematically rather than relying on manual checklists. The audit engine is version 3.5, running 847+ threat signatures updated continuously from community reports, blacklist databases, and direct domain analysis.

A unverified conference is an academic event that mimics legitimate conferences to extract money from researchers — typically registration fees, publication charges, and travel costs — while providing none of the academic value promised:

• False Scopus, Web of Science, or IEEE indexing claims
• No verifiable peer review process
• Fabricated or stolen committee member names
• No physical venue, or a venue that doesn't match the claimed dates
• Mass unsolicited email invitations with urgent deadlines
• No refund policy after payment

No signup is needed for basic audits. Paste the URL, get the result. That's it. Creating a free account lets you save audit results to your vault, track conferences over time, and receive alerts when a saved conference changes status. Gold and Institution users get the full feature set including PDF export and CFP deadline tracking.

We cross-reference the conference's claimed proceedings or journal ISSN/ISBN against the official Scopus source list and the Web of Science Master Journal List. Simply claiming "Scopus indexed" on a homepage is not enough — the specific proceedings or journal must appear in those lists. Many unverified conferences display the Scopus logo or claim indexing for some previous year of proceedings, while the current year's proceedings are not indexed. Our engine checks both the claim and the verifiability of that specific event.

Our intelligence engine tracks thousands of conference organisers. Any brand that is identified as high-risk through multiple sources (Beall's List, community reports, and automated pattern recognition) is added to our internal database. Updates are pushed the moment new unverified domains appear publicly — so you're protected even from newly-launched unverified conferences.

The 18 checks run in parallel against our pre-built databases and live domain analysis APIs. Most checks resolve in milliseconds by comparing against cached datasets. A small number of live checks (SSL, domain age, page content) take slightly longer but all complete within a single request cycle.

Yes — and we strongly encourage it. On the Blacklist tab, any user can submit a conference URL with a reason and optional evidence. Our engine runs a full 24-hour audit on the submission and adds it to the blacklist if confirmed as high-risk.

Our reports are informational and based on publicly available data. If you believe a result is incorrect, contact us with evidence and we will re-review within 48 hours. Legitimate conferences can also apply for a verified badge through our institutional onboarding process.

• PASS — The check found clear positive evidence.
• FAIL — The check found a clear red flag or information was absent.
• NEUTRAL — Inconclusive from available data. Always manually verify these before submitting.

Completely. Audits are performed from our servers. Conference organisers cannot detect you've audited them.

Reports are informational but include unique IDs and NAAC sustainability statements, accepted as due diligence documentation by many IQAC cells and supervisors.

We are fully transparent and you can audit us using our own engine. Our policies are published and we comply with India's DPDP Act.
